Complaints and Discipline

Professional accountability matters

ADA's complaints process is intended to handle concerns about professional conduct, misleading credential use, inaccurate register information, badge misuse and serious failures to meet published standards.

Stage 1

Complaint received and acknowledged.

Stage 2

Initial triage for jurisdiction, urgency and evidence.

Stage 3

Member notified unless doing so would create clear risk.

Stage 4

Investigation and evidence review.

Stage 5

Outcome decision, sanction or closure.

Stage 6

Register updated where suspension, expiry or removal applies.

Possible sanctions may include advice, conditions, suspension, removal from the register, revocation of badge use or referral to an external authority where appropriate.
